Dr. Reggie Anderson Offers Hope During Life's Most Trying Times

Dr. Reggie Anderson won readers over with His best-seller "Appointments With Heaven: The True Story of a Country Doctor's Healing Encounters With The Hereafter".  He has had over twenty five years of emergency room experience witnessing diverse deaths often at the patient's bedside.  Now he gifts us with his newest publication "The One Year Book of Healing."  After witnessing suffering first-hand, he lends thoughts on overcoming these tribulations with Faith.
Presented as a devotional, the reader will be soothed and uplifted each day with a story, experience and/or scripture.  He reminds us that all of us experience heartache and that we are not alone.  This book targets physical, spiritual and emotional wellness.  The hope that he offers is priceless.  No doubt this much needed resource will rank high among best sellers as Dr. Anderson's books have achieved in the past. Tyndale Bloggers gave me the opportunity to read this stellar book in exchange for my thoughts.

Wonders of Creation~Oh, So Lovely

Zondervan's "Wonders of Creation" is just Oh so Lovely.  For coloring book fans as myself, these illustrations of animals and plants would look perfect in a frame once completed.  I have found that coloring does ease one's stress and brings contentment.  A wonderful treasure for your creative moments.  With Mother's Day right around the corner, this would make for the perfect gift along with colored pencils or markets.  It seems that adult coloring books are in high demand atleast at the places I shop.  Kudos to Book Look Bloggers for the stellar opportunity to review this book.

Fast Metabolism Food Rx

Haylie Pomroy (New York Times Best Selling Author) grew up with a number of physical ailments which became a real challenge to her.  Not wanting to live her entire life on prescription drugs she took a nose dive into researching and learning.  What she found out could put a damper on many doctor's businesses.  It is not by chance that she is a well known nutritionist today.  She has discovered the remedy to most illnesses is what we eat.  She even prescribes food to her clients.
Fast Metabolism Food Rx lists the foods we should avoid and equally as important, the food we can have.  This publication is a wealth of information and can be used over and over for reference.  I think it is the perfect companion for those who want to develop a healthy lifestyle.  I am honored to have read and reviewed for Blogging for Books.

Never Too Old For God's Service

Billy Grahams latest biography is a beautiful testament to that God can use us at any age and that we can be a testimony whether we are in our nineties or a young person.  He will never fire us nor do we have to retire or resign because we just can't be of assistance.  Nearing Home  made the New York Times best selling list and also won the 2012 Christian Book of the Year.  I recall my mother telling me many times that the elderly in the Church were the wisest individuals because they had the most experience in life and that we can learn a lot from them.  There is a wealth of information in Mr. Grahams Nearing Home.  His priority now is finishing well that walk he made the decision to take as a young lad.  He looks forward to meeting up with his beautiful wife, Ruth again who passed away a while back.  Chapter two , 'Don't Retire From Life' is meant for senior citizens but could also encourage anyone who is facing depression.  He covers many subjects that the elderly face and are going through, such as retirement; money matters; physical pain and looking forward to our Heavenly Home.  I highly recommend this excellent book which I had the opportunity to review for BookSneeze.

Dr. James L. Marcum, MD Shares Biblical Healing tools in "The Ultimate Prescription"

Named by USA TODAY as one of the most influential physicians in his field, Dr. James L Marcum,MD is not only a board-certified cardiologist but a firm believer in God's word. He practices both the spiritual and natural ways of making ourselves whole. He conveys in his writing that too many doctors are too quick to prescribe medications than get to the root of the real problem that causes ailments. For example: not enough exercise; eating the wrong types of foods and too much stress. Dr. Marcum shows the readers how the Bible gives us the answers on what we must do to stay physically fit. Additives and soft drinks should be replaced by fresh foods and plenty of water on a daily basis. He also correlates how this all affects our emotional well-being. His advice is sound and down-to-earth yet requires a lifestyle change. Too many individuals want a quick fix and to walk down the wide path which is easier. Dr. James L Marcum, MD tells us the truth, a truth which may save our life. I admire the doctor for supplying this information and going against the grain.
I had the wonderful opportunity to review this book from the Tyndale blogging community in exchange for my thoughts.
