Sally Clarksons, "Different: The Story of an Outside-the-Box Kid and the Mom Who Loved Him" proves that being different is not an awful thing. Her true account of her son who suffers from learning disabilities along with anxiety and OCD will inspire other parents who are going through the same experiences. She pushes out the negative comments presented to her about her son's condition and she rely's on her faith in God to accentuate the positive. Mom and son's love grows as they take this journey together. I was given the wonderful opportunity to review this book for the Tyndale Network. As a young adult I was diagnosed with chronic concurrent depression and panic disorder. At the time my therapist had asked me if anyone in my family had noticed any difference in me while I was growing up. That was over forty years ago and I honestly told my psychologist that my parents just thought that I was emotional and sensitive. After reading Sally Clarkson's biography, I felt that so many more individuals could be helped by her sharing her story and inwardly I was jealous that this type of material was not available as I was growing up. This is a superb read. I highly recommend.

The Color Code Bible~ Great for Adult's Too!
When it come's to the Holy Scriptures, I am all for anything that aid's in the learning process. There are so many extra tools in the NKJV Color Code Bible to enhance the reading experience that even, I, at 60 years of age would keep this for my own reference. I commend Thomas Nelson for their creavity and knowledge to put together this spectacular bible. Yes, it was intended for children, but would also aide those with vision problems. The color coding is adorable. Purple words are in reference to Heaven, Gold words are God and that's how the system works.
This Bible also lists all the prophetic books along with the major prophets and minor prophets; the books of history and books of poetry. There is a whole section on where you can find certain stories such as where you can read about Solomon or Samuel ext. These all enhance reading the Bible. I highly recommend to young and old alike. I was given the opportunity to review through Book Look Bloggers.

Age Appropriate Bible Offers More Than Cuteness~
Age appropriate (4-8 years) and easy to understand The Veggie Tales Bible New International Reader Version is equipped with multiple tools to enhance your child's experience in learning the scriptures.
There is an introduction to each book to prepare the reader about who wrote the book and key highlights. This is an essential guide especially for first time readers of the Bible.
Bigger words can sometimes be intimidating, so there is also a dictionary included to resolve that problem.
Parents will be pleased to know that chapters and sentences are shortened in an effort to keep the reader's interest. Midway through the Bible there are 8 full color Bible stories as told by the veggie tales. These are simply adorable and appear like comics.
For little minds that tend to forget "Remember This" has 100 entries of scripture to remember. I was honored to read this book for Book Look Bloggers in exchange for my review. This children's Bible actually is better than I expected and I very highly recommend!

John Rosemond Takes Baby Boomers On A Sweet Venture Down Memory Lane
John Rosemond's "Grandma Was Right After All" takes an in depth view of old fashioned parenting vs today's parenting. Many of us baby boomers remember this era as the pre Dr. Spock days when parents only goal was setting boundaries in order to prepare their children for their future. At that time discipline was the highest form of love. Many thought that parents were too stern but in the long run, their methods worked As a by product of the seventies I was blessed in that regard. The author playfully discusses the many sayings that were common to everyone's parents. Rosemond takes us on a fun journey down memory lane. How awesome life would be if this old fashioned parenting were still implicated today. Kudos to the Tyndale Blogger Community for allowing me to receive a copy of this excellent book in exchange for my review. What a Remarkable Read~

The Toddler's Bible is Precious And Easy to Understand
Catherine DeVries and Zonderkids have created the perfect toddler's bible, "Adventure Bible for Toddler's" with exciting illustrations by Jim Madsen. Geared towards ages 2-8, there are ten stories taken from the Old & New Testament's. I applaud the author's goal of reaching younger minds. It is imperative that children learn of their Heavenly Father. Ms. DeVries offers this wonderful opportunity by making the stories of the Bible come alive in terms that the little ones will understand. This precious commodity would make a stellar gift for toddlers. I was given the honor of reviewing this book for Book Look.

He has written numerous books not only for children but also adults to teach all ages about the greatest gift of all...charity. More information can be obtained at The 5 Love Languages Website . A Perfect Pet for Peyton is the lovely story that I was allowed to review for Moody Press in exchange for my opinions. The twins, Peyton and Penny are celebrating their birthday and are excited to be going to The Perfect Pet Pal Emporium for their gift. I was thrilled to see that the children pray throughout their day. I got attached to this fictional Christian family. It's a wonderful read for the children to learn respect and manners. Peyton opens the car door for his mother. Their parents decide to hold their Birthday party at the Pet Emporium with all their friends. The friends will also choosing pets for themselves. What's awesome about this peticular place is that it is part zoo, part farm and part aquarium so there is dozens of pets to encounter and choose from. Without giving away too much of the story, it centers on the young peoples journey and their great excitement. It promotes family unity and support. The Perfect Pet for Peyton is a positive tool for young parents which I highly recommend~

Oh No Not the Children, Dec. 14 The Day The World Changed
Although there have always been deranged individuals wreaking havoc in society, something more hurting and unexplainable occurred on Dec. 14, 2012...A hunter determined to make his prey innocent young elementary students...an awful mind blowing act which rid our realms of any security we might have once felt in the past leaving everyone, everywhere wondering what is happening in our world. Life has sadly changed since I was a child when my biggest concern was whether or not my older brother found my favorite toy that I hid on him. We lived in a more safe enviroment in those days when neighbors spoke kindly to one another and faithful friends knew that there were certain boundaries that you just didn't cross in for the sake of true kinship. It's just not like the good ole' days anymore and my heart bleeds for the parents who must worry when their offspring are doing the right thing by going to school. What has this world come to and who is to blame? I imagine it is a number of factors that have contributed to this lack of concern with human life as I recall some of the things I suggested as a college student majoring in Psychology. Young and full of passion I suggested in my essay that lawmakers should make Mental Health a mandatory class in all schools just as physical educucation is. Agreeing that Physical Health was an asset in establishing the importance of keeping our bodies up to par but I felt that mental health should also be addressed with that same ferver. For one this would erase the stigma that has been attached to mental illness since forever but also teach individuals on how to identify those who may be afflicted and guarantee that they get some kind of help. My professor was pleased with my report and gave me a bright A+ while leaving a question for me to ponder...'"How would this class be funded?"' Since than I felt that there was a negative possibility of ever seeing this proposal come to past.
So instead today, twenty little innocent victims will be buried. Hearts are broken, many will lose faith and there will be a void which will not be filled. The news has left us all with apprehension and uncertainty. The holiday holds less meaning with the true lights of our lives smothered out. As a mother and grandmother of thirteen I beg that strickter background checks be made with anyone purchasing a gun and that it include background checks of everyone in the family and/or who may have access to that person's home. I wonder how many people know that our beloved Abraham Lincoln who suffered through many nervous breakdowns had his assistants at his home hide the silverware on the days that he was most depressed. This has been written in his history books as he struggled with his own dark thoughts on certain days. We can't put all the fault on the media although there is way too much violence being portrayed to the children these days, nor can we put it all in any one egg basket but we can each do our part. Needless to say our Nation would be a better place if we each were a little more loving and respectful to one another. Is it possible to make that change?

The Precious Story of Love in Simple Terms
Lisa T. Bergren's Children's books thrill everyone's soul. Thus when Blogging for Books offered her most recent read God Gave Us Love, in exchange for a honest review, I hurried to sign up. Kudos to Lisa for even considering making the pages broader and thicker to keep them durable with youngsters around. This sweet sweet story is a conversation between Grandpa Bear and Little Cub about all the different types of Love. This tenderly written book could teach many an adult by putting God's word in a more simple terms which are easily understood by everyone. The illustrations created by Laura J. Bryant enhance this warm experience. Reading this book took me back on a journey years ago full of fond memories of my grandparent's explaining to me of God's Love. This best-seller makes for the perfect time to bond with your little ones while speaking upon the most important subjects they will need to know. Thank You, Lisa T. Bergren for another outstanding treasure. This would also make for a fine holiday gift.
