Read up~Not Your Typical Amish Fiction Romance

Amanda Flower's second book in the Appleseed Creek Mystery series has received much applause and high recommendations which goes to show how diverse we all are from one another.  Ordinarily I am a big fan of Amish fiction but I found it hard to decifer the difference between the characters in this book from everyday individuals (what the Amish would call us "English").  I felt hoodwinked by the author to read a book about the Amish when there were hardly any mention of the Amish.    Within the first few pages of the first chapter we discover that the main character, Timothy has left the Amish as well as his younger sister.  The pages detail cell phones, computers and even using google.  By all means, there is nothing wrong with these things but I was looking forward to reading about the Amish lifestyle.  I was turned off right away and just couldn't get into the storyline.  I don't want to downplay the author because it is a matter of personal preference.  I examined this book for

Only Purex Brings The Fresh Scents Of the Outdoors Inside Your Home

The New Purex Fabric Softener Sheets contain 3X the fragrance of previous sheets and they are not embellishing.  The day I received my box from Purex Insiders, both of my daughter-in-laws were visiting when I brought in my mail.  They both asked me at once what the wonderful scent was before I got a chance to open my kit.  Once I did, Purex won over two new customers.  My box is Mountain Breeze and I cannot wait to try Sweet Lavender.  I hurried to throw in a load of laundry to try out my new fabric softener sheets.  I cannot put into words how lovely my entire home smells after drying the laundry when using Purex.  Ok, on to more positive aspects of Purex Fabric Softener Sheets.  I have three pets...a dog and two cats; hallelujah! The sheets repel pet hair and lint.  This fact made my husband ecstatic as in the past his dress pants were always covered with cat hair no matter how many times I washed them.  They also reduce static cling and they can spice up your love life.  Yes, this is what you do...place a dryer sheet between your pillow cases and just wait and see what happens.!
Here in Detroit our temperatures have been near 100 degrees which causes everyone to sweat.  Thanks to Purex they get out all the awful odors.  Stay tuned readers.  I  soon will be raffling off some Purex Coupons.

Forbidden Romance

Cindy Woodsmall fostered my affection of Amish Romances, I have read all of her books.  Cherry Blossom is one of my favorites as I could relate to Annie 's struggle between the young man she falls in love with and the way she was raised as an Old Order Mennonite.  Until this point in her life, Annie was content and at peace with this lifestyle.  Annie is smitten with Aden who is Old Order Amish.  Both of their religions forbid them from dating outside of their own Faith.  It is an exciting novel as the reader presses on to find out whether love or personal belief win over.  Will they give into temptation?  Will they risk losing the respect of their families?  Aden is also facing another burden, his brother is paraplegic and his responsibility is to care for him since the horrible farming accident.  Annie has had a difficult past also as her parents are divorced.  She still has a deep fondness for her father.  This book carries the same passion that Romeo and Juliet had.  When love runs so deep and yet is forbidden, how will the characters resolve this very real situation,  It was my joy to review this book for Waterbrookmultnomah in exchange for my honest opinion.  This is a book that you will not want to put down and you will stay up all night long just to find out what will occur next.  It will keep you on the edge of your seat and it will teach you that love is not always simple and that each individual must make decisions of what they feel is good for their life.  Yes, I highly recommend~

Cindy Woodsmall's "The Christmas Singing"

"The Christmas Singing" is the perfect gift for amish reader fans this Season.  Cindy Woodsmall's riveting ability to capture the hearts of  such a huge audience is due in part because of the valuable lessons on love and life portrayed in her writings.  This excellent saga causes the readers to emphathize with Mattie after Gideon breaks her heart.  He breaks their engagement and through much pain Mattie must move on.  We can relate to her suffering.  After time has passed, Mattie finds a new love which she so deserves and as we applaud her, guess who pops back into her life?  Read this powerful love novel about forgiveness and real love.  Perhaps that is why so many have come to adore the amish love stories.  Cindy Woodsmall has again, rose over the top with this monumental book! I was elated to receive this book from Blogging for Books Walterbrookmultnomah in exchange for my honest review~
