Much to learn from Discipleship
I really enjoyed this book by J Heinrich Arnold entitled "Discipleship, Living for Christ in the Daily Grind". Many of my personal questions were answered regarding different scriptures and what they meant. One example being where Jesus states that '"anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me"'. Arnold plainly explains that those of us who get caught up with the drama brought on by family life whereby we lose sight of the Holy Spirit and the pure love of Christ. This is one book that I decided to take as much time as I needed to study and re-study. I am not surprized by the number of supporters of this book that he has; Mother Teresa, Jimmy Carter and Elisabeth Elliot among more. I had the priviledge of reading for Handlebar Publishing.

Sundar Singh's Conversion to Christainty
Sundar Singh was to become a very prominent spiritual teacher and The Wisdom of The Sadhu is a compilation of his thoughts, parables and experiences. Born and raised in India as a Hindu, he discovers the teachings of Christ that will forever change him. Sundar lives much like a vagabond, needing only his strong faith to lead and guide him. Each breathe he takes is to spread his new belief and to encourage others about the Love of God. Kim Corner does a superb job in editing and organizing Singh's musings to create this book. I was given the opportunity to read for Handlebar Publications.

The Importance of Allowing Our Children To Be Children
In Johann Christoph Arnold's "Their Name Is Today, Reclaiming Childhood", she focuses on the difficulties young ones experience in growing up too fast. Play is so important that she devotes an entire chapter on this subject, She also addresses the facts that perhaps there would be less violence if parents would put their children at the top of their priorities. This book gets the reader thinking, hopefully before it is too late. By spending quality time with our children and by putting our love for them into action, we may never have to experience the problems of violence and suicide once they become adults. Somehow the media has twisted the definition of childhood by forcing kids to participate in areas that they are not ready to master. Sadly, our society has the very young worried about whether they are sexy enough. The young people today know things I was unaware of until I became an adult. This book is a resolve for parents everywhere wanting to change the tide of things by offering tips and ideas on how to bring childhood back. I was given the opportunity to rate this book for Handlebar Bloggers.

Arnold's "Rich In Years" Guarantee's We Have Much to Look Forward To
"Rich in Years" by Johann Christoph Arnold came to me at the perfect time. It would be my father's 84th birthday which I was grieving over because he had been gone for sixteen years. My tears perpetuated waves of memories of all my loved ones that I have lost while growing older. These 'golden years' have taken much for me to adjust to. The spiritual insight and sensitive writings of this stellar book have helped me take a more positive, productive look on aging. "Rich In Years" addresses the many changes senior citizen's face such as the empty nest syndrome; retirement; unforeseen sickness and how to cope with these difficulties and still find joy and purpose. I am thrilled that I had the wonderful opportunity to review this book for Handlebar in exchange for my thoughts. It was a great blessing~

Bodie Hodge Confirms Jesus Christ is The Only Reason for Christmas
Bodie Hodge, Author of The War on Christmas, bravely confronts those individuals who oppose the religious significance of this Holiday by viewing it as politically incorrect or untrue. I applaud him for using the Word of God as a weapon against non-believers. Step by step he guides the reader through the time Jesus Christ was born and how the celebration of Christmas came about; including how it got the name. The amount of scriptural evidence will disprove that this day was meant to be a Pagan event which left Christ out of the focus. Hodge's in depth studies confirm this to be contrary to History. The author also succeeds in clarifying a multitude of questions surrounding the Birth of Christ which atheist rely on to weaken the Truth. I am quite fond of this book and all the lesson's I learned while reading. For all Christians, it is an excellent reference tool to keep on hand and I definitely recommend. As a Member of Handlebar Publishing I was given The War on Christmas in exchange for my honest review.
